Pecunia Modules

Master Data Management and Order Processing

Master data management and order processing are two main pillars of Pecunia. To record and reproduce all cash handling processes electronically, the regular maintenance of master data is a fundamental requirement. The administration module thus forms the centerpiece of Pecunia and basis for the order processing. The latter can be divided into two areas. On the one hand, the acquisition of counts and Bundesbank deposits, on the other hand the generating of Bundesbank orders and other service orders carried out by CITs. Both handling processes intertwine in the cash cycle.

► Administration

The recording of all processes in the cash cycle is based on the administration module which serves for the recording and maintenance of master data and offers extensive options for controlling and configuring individual production steps. In the administration module you maintain your customer database as well as basic data for cash processing and order entry, logistics and the operation of Pecunia by your employees. According to indiviudal contracts you can predefine editing processes on customer and branch level. In doing so, your staff will be conducted through the individual process steps by the system and you can avoid processing errors in the first place. To prevent unauthorized access, you can assign authorizations for the individual system modules to your employees and prevent manipulation.

Do your customers wish information about the progress of their orders, or do you want to evaluate specific workflows? Basic settings for comprehensive reporting and analysis functions can also be made in the master data module.

► Cash Handling

The cash handling module serves for the recording of counts, which can be conducted on the three levels of customer/branch/cashpoint as well as the generation of Bundesbank deposits. In addition to regular counts of coins and banknotes, counts of ATM cassettes and high-performance counts can be performed. A universal driver concept allows the connection of a variety of note and coin counters offered in Europe.

With the integrated inventory management, as a feature of the cash handling module, you will easily conduct and control your internal and external pool balances. By simple and partly automated accounting processes you can safely fetch the current balances of your pools at any time. Furthermore, a complete history of the daily reconciliations is available. So, the portfolio growth is transparently documented.

By adherence to the four-eyes principle, by automated accountings with the Bundesbank and by electronic transfers with same-day validation, Pecunia simplifies the cash handling, expedites work processes and
provides security.

► CashEDI

Cash Electronic Data Interchange is a  range of service offered by the Bundesbank. It enables cash in transit companies to elcetronically advise payments or oder money with the Bundesbank. The data exchange is performed via the ExtraNet of the Bundesbank.

By a connection of the ExtraNet to Pecunia the data exchange is carried out more efficiently. The CashEDI module is combined with the entry mask for Bundesbank accountings and service orders. All data, which are relevant for the respective transaction, can be directly transferred from Pecunia to the Bundesbank. By electronic transmission of your account data the risk of manipulation is minimised.

► Hard Money and Service Orders

Both, hard money and service module serve for order processing. The hard money module allows quick and simple handling of change orders, including an equivalent value control while all CIT services are entered in the service module. The order entry is based on freely definable and customised service types. From Bundesbank orders for supply or disposal of ATMs, branches and cash points, maintenance of ATMs, material supplies to intervention services various orders can be realized. Both modules are linked to the route planning, which enables an automatic assignment of orders to a tour.

Logistics

Without logistics no CIT service. With the tour module and the container control all necessary functions for the execution of orders are provided, from planning routes to acceptance and delivery of containers to your customers or the Bundesbank. A link to PecuniaScanner ensures communication between a cash centre and their drivers and also serves for more transparency by means of an external container tracking.

► Tour

The tour module serves for planning and optimising your tours. On a daily routine your operation controller can set off an auto-creation of a copy of a tour plan. All relevant data of a tour, such as schedule, delivery order, and packing list can be either printed or edited by electronic devices for external tracking.

In addition to regular stops, you can preset and activate stops on demand. Moreover, holidays are considered in the route planning and the module provides a target/actual comparison of the scheduled stops with the actual stop frequency. With the optimisation of routes you dispose stops in a geographically sensible sequence and so achieve greater efficiency in your order processing. Based on a connection to Microsoft Mappoint, Pecunia calculates and optimises a daily route by applying standard coordinates and starting times. To calculate a route the system employs an access to an online central server. A calculation without a central online component is also possible.

► Container Control

From container handoffs at the lock, planned or spontaneous container assumptions from a customer to container transfers during a tour, with the module for container controls you will monitor all container flows within and outside of your cash centre. For this purpose, the module is linked to the scanner software PecuniaScanner which ensures complete traceability of containers.

Key management is another component of the container control. Since ATMs are often supplied and serviced outside the opening times of bank branches, keys are required to get access to the relevant ATM. The integrated key management provides a complete documentation of all key handovers which occur before, during and at the end of a tour. Furthermore, other equipment needed for CIT services can be entered and logged.

RFID Technology

With an RFID support container transfers are optimised at positing systems. Safebags, cash containers as well as any other kind of packaging are labeled with RFID tags which replace the up to now used barcode. The positing system in turn has to be equipped with a reading device to readout the tagged containers which at the same time allows data transfer to the container module of Pecunia. As all container datas will be readout simultaneously, single handovers and seperate scanning of container barcodes will be obsolete. As visual inspection is omitted in this process, concerns may be raised. Nonetheless, the security risk will not increase. With accepting a container from a customer a transfer of perils sets in. That is why a video surveillance at the positing system will be accepted as visual inspection in a liability case. By applying RFID technology data entries are simplified and CITs benefit from a substantial gain in time.

Data Analysis with the Statistics Module

Do your customers ask for information about the progress of their orders, or do you want to evaluate certain workflows, sales, counting, container flows, or other data? For this purpose the statistics module offers comprehensive reporting and analysis functions. You may apply pre-defined standard queries as well as user-defined jobs and/or customized reports which can be started manually or automatically and will provide an extensive evaluation of your processes.
